AMAAAAAAZING fruit and cheese panini's

Mmmmm, something smells good in here!

Here they are folks...  New delicious gourmet panini choices!  Made with fruit and cheese, these are great as breakfast sandwiches, a quick light lunch, or wrap 'em up for a midnight snack later on!  Fantastic fresh off the grill, or cold from the fridge.  Try one today!

 APPLE CHEDDAR
A delicious melt on all-natural whole wheat bread, with slices of broiled apple, drizzled inside with warm honey.

PEAR SWISSMade with Baby Swiss, and carefully filleted pears we grill the slices until the juices sizzle and dress it up with sweet honey-mustard sauce inside two pieces of Italian white bread.

 PINEAPPLE PARMESAN
It’s that sweet and salty combo between Italian or whole wheat bread slices. No ham allowed this time, but who needs it when you have your grilled slices of pineapple covered with briny bits of feta and parmesan cheeses?  We spread that with our own cream cheese dressing and melt it all together in a hot mess of flavour!

BANANA PEANUTBUTTER CREAMCarefully sectioned bits of smooth banana spread with honey, organic chuncky peanutbutter and cream cheese on soft loaf whole wheat bread.  Also good cold.  Makes a great breakfast sandwich, or mid-day snack!

Book Club

Gatherings are held on the First Saturday of Every Month at 7pm.
March 5th
Introduction and Topic Discussion Start on this month’s book:
THE GIVER by Lois Lowry.
Join us as we slip into the completely controlled, soothingly pleasant society Jonas is so accustom to,  THE GIVER takes readers into a world free of such things as conflict, hate, and disappointment.
As Jonas receives memories from The Giver, he begins to
understand  more about the community in which he lives, and starts to question if a society without a true understanding of the complexities and realities of life is really so perfect after all. A reflection on individualism and freedom of choice,
THE GIVER acknowledges and celebrates the importance of both the positive
and negative experiences of a fully lived life. Winner of the 1994 Newbery Medal.

Valentines Specials

For V-Day we concocted some lovely specialties, for sweethearts with a sweet tooth...

German Chocolate Cake Mocha:
Coconut and chocolate in espresso, with
extra foamy steamed milk.  Whipped cream and real coconut shreds finish it off,  just like the decedent cake of the same name.

Raspberries n' Cream Mocha:
Espresso stirred into Chocolate & Raspberry with coconut steamed milk poured over top, add a
mountain of whipped cream
drizzled with chocolate & raspberry syrup.  An indulgent sweet treat for your sweetheart!

CaramelMint Hot Chocolate:
Caramel and peppermint blend into steamed milk thick with rich chocolate for this winter
favourite with a twist!

Come on, you know it's just long enough after the holidays that you can get away with it!  So why not stop by and try one out?

To Warm You Up...

After shoveling snow and salting the walk, you may have forgotten what it was like to have feeling in your limbs, and your poor heart is most-likely frosted over from the cold.  We have a remedy for that.  Thick and steamy mugs of Tiger's Milk Chai have been known to melt the coldest of hearts, and thaw out the most frozen fingers.

Tigers Milk Chai:
4 OZ Chai (Indian spiced black tea), cold steeped extra long.
4 OZ whole milk (because you're cheating yourself if you use anything less than whole!)
2 or 3 TBSP Honey (from the Fine Family Apiary!)
A dash of Cinnamon.

Steam the first three ingrediants together until the concoction becomes silky smooth and piping hot.  If you are making this at home, just use your stovetop and whisk the ingrediants in a small pot as they heat, vigorous whisking will warm you up even faster and make the blend smoother.  When finished, pour into a mug and toss some Cinnamon atop.  Enjoy while sitting in front of any heat source, stirring with a Honey stick or a Cinnamon stick, and watching the giant snowflakes fall outside your well-sealed window.

Have a cozy winter!  :-)
